Tom Wyler is Senior Vice President for Global Strategy at PSP Capital and responsible for working across PSP deal teams and portfolio companies to identify, develop, and support investment opportunities in markets around the world. He served as Counselor to the Secretary and Senior Advisor for International Economics at the U.S. Department of Commerce before joining PSP Capital in 2017. He was the secretary's chief international policy advisor and the architect of Secretary Pritzker's commercial diplomacy strategy. Wyler was responsible for counseling the secretary on the full range of international economic and foreign policy matters before the Department of Commerce. He also led the Department’s first-ever Global Economics Team, which was responsible for developing the Department's international strategy and coordinating its vast global capabilities across operating units.
Wyler was previously an attorney with Debevoise & Plimpton, on the staff of John Kerry's 2004 presidential campaign, and an aide to a U.S. Senator. He is currently a Non-Resident Fellow at the University of Pennsylvania's Perry World House, a term member of the Council on Foreign Relations, and author of numerous articles and publications. Wyler received his J.D. with honors from the University of Pennsylvania Law School and his Master of Arts from The Fletcher School of Law & Diplomacy at Tufts University, both in 2008. He received his Bachelor of Arts from the University of Wisconsin - Madison.
